Joanna Trollope Visits James Joyce Tower & Museum

Mar 28, 2017

Joanna Trollope is among the UK’s most popular novelists with a string of highly acclaimed and bestselling novels to her credit.  She has chaired the Whitbread and Orange Awards, as well as being a judge of many other literature prizes.  In 2014, she updated Jane Austen!cid_990070A7-05F4-4591-B840-48D0769DC8A8@chello‘s Sense and Sensibility as part of the Austen Project.

Joanna visited the Tower on Saturday 25th. She was in Dún Laoghaire to participate in the Mountains to the Sea book festival and took the opportunity to take an early morning walk out to Sandycove and visit the Tower. Afterwards, at her session in the Pavilion Theatre, she described having had a wonderful morning walking by the sea and visiting the Tower.

Here she is pictured with volunteer Anne Marie McGoris. She told us that she had read Ulysses at the age of 16! She was a little rushed but promised to come back.
