Cathaoirleach,Tom Murphy, drops in on Friends

Dun Laoghaire/Rathdown County Council Cathaoirleach, Tom Murphy, paid a flying visit to the Friends of Joyce Tower Society last Thursday evening.  The Friends were gathered in the Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire to hold their 2017/2018 AGM.

The Cathaoirleach briefly addressed the assembled volunteers and expressed the gratitude and admiration of his council for the wonderful work that was being carried out on behalf of the local community by the FJT. He also stressed the importance of the James Joyce Tower as a key attraction in the area and wished the FJT continued success into the future.

All present were delighted at the Cathaoirleach’s words and many spent some time chatting with him before the start of the AGM.
